Olive Eggers
Olive Eggers are a mixed breed of chicken, the result of crossing a blue egg laying hen such as an Ameraucana or Legbar with a dark egg laying rooster such as a Marans or Welsummer. Although these are beautiful and interesting chickens, the main point of owning Olive Eggers is to get olive-colored eggs! Many of our Olive Eggs are more of a CHOCOLATE color than OLIVE. Some are even GREY in color coming from an olive with a very heavy BLOOM. Many of them are covered in SPECKLES!
With Winter half way over, I have cranked up the incubator and loaded it with eight dozen olive eggers and rainbow layers.
